Darn Good Yarn Yarn of the Month Box Review
So, Darn Good Yarn* came again! I’m still not sure if they’re doing a true monthly surprise box, or if there’s a month by month schedule like with their fabric, and it seems beads. If it is a set course, this is box two.

Darn Good Yarn works in 50g skeins, and this month, it was their Darn Good Fancy Twist Silk Yarn in the colourway Pink Flamingo.
It’s a good enough yarn. It’s their recycled silk. There are tinges of orange, purple, green, and pink. Very rainbow, which is definitely the Darn Good Yarn aesthetic.
The patterns this month are both iterations of this treasure keeper. I don’t understand how easy is rated 2/3, but there we go.
I’m not going to make this, and I’m not sure what I’m going to make.
By far, my favourite part of this box is the extra. I love this. I ended up using this right away, and now my needles and hooks have their own place and I’m less frustrated overall.
I’m into this.
All up, I’m still not sure about Darn Good Yarn. 50g skeins are hard. I mean, I feel like the only thing I can make are headbands and how many rainbow headbands does one person need? I do like looking at the yarn and touching the yarn, but is that enough?
At the same time, I love that its silk, and I love that it’s recycled. But, 50g… if you have any ideas, let me know. If you need me, I’ll be creeping on Ravelry.
