KnitCrate Malabrigo Partner Crate Review
I love KnitCrate*. I first subscribed to them ages ago, and I’m so happy I can afford to pick up the subscription again. I’ve been anticipating the Malabrigo partner crate, so I was happy to see it.

I’ve heard good things about Malabrigo but I’ve never knit with it.
The first skein I pulled out was a 50g, fingering weight silk. I’m having a weird silk knitting moment and I’m not mad at it. Nothing makes you feel luxurious quite like silk.
The second skein is a 100g superwash wool that is also in the jardin colourway. It’s interesting to see how the same colourway looks on both materials.
This is just all-around nice yarn. It’s one of those soft, squshy, delightful skeins and the colours are fun.
The crate also came with s crochet and a knit pattern. I don’t think I’m going to do these projects because while I love shawls, I can’t figure out how to wear them in a way that makes me feel modern and cute. This yarn is going to go into the stash.
All up, I’m excited about this KnitCrate because it’s very nice yarn. Anytime I get silk is a good time. I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to make with these, and I’m a bit concerned about the size of my stash, but if covid taught me one thing it’s that having a big stash is a good idea.
I’m attempting this video thing, so if you want to watch me open everything in one-take, real time then here ya go!
