BohemStyle Bead Box Review September 2020

My BohemStyle Bead Box* came, and I was very excited. I’ve been finding beadwork incredibly soothing lately so I was ready for another project.

The BohemStyle concept is you get enough beads and findings from Bohemia to make two pieces of jewellery. This month it was a necklace and a bracelet.

One of my biggest gripes with this box is that there isn’t a picture of the finished project anywhere. You get directed to an unlisted video on YouTube and you have to forward ahead to find out what it looks like.

I can’t fault the videos though, they’re well made and are really clear.

The beads themself are beautiful, but unfortunately, one of mine came mangled and it was unusable in the necklace.

In spite of that, the project still turned out nice. It feels a bit like Medieval Christmas, which I’m here for. I’d never worked with cabochons before so it was cool that I got a bit of skill-building.

I’m not sure if a lot of the BohemStyle Box creations are things I’ll get a lot of wear out of, but I enjoy the process of making them so for me, it’s worth it.

Plus, I love repurposing beads so who knows what this might one day become?

I don’t know though, I have a feeling I might just have myself a very medieval Christmas and wear this lots.
